Alphonso Sea Urchin Candle

Indulge your visual senses with our Alphonso Urchin Candle, this candle is a stunning centrepiece for any room. Illuminate your space with elegance and coastal style, and let the mesmerising play of light and shadow enchant your senses.

Made in-house by Simply Shells and crafted from a blend of mostly soy wax and small amounts of certified palm wax, premium grade paraffin wax and a unique plant based emulsifier to provide a stable and consistent burn, its intricately molded design evokes the celestial wonder of the Alphonso sea urchin.

The shell candle weighs approx 250grams and the Performance Wax will give you hours of burn time. Remember to do a one off memory burn. Light the candle in a draft free area and burn for about 20 minutes, then put the candle out and let the wax set again. You’re wanting about a 20mm circle around the wick. Thats it, now you’re ready to light any time.

A High Quality Stabilo wick ensures a chemical free burn and even melt while giving off beautiful lighting in your desired area.

The Creative Process

We started by selecting a beautifully shaped Alphonso Urchin with perfect texture and patterns. The next step was to carefully create our own molds from this urchin, ensuring the final poured candle is an exact copy of the original shell.

Several waxes were tested in combination with different wick sizes with ensuring a clean and long burning candle that keeps it shape and will burn for many many hours. Made by and exclusive to Simply Shells, you wont find them anywhere else and each candle is hand poured and quality checked before sending out.

As an optional extra we’ve also created our own concrete bases, made specifically to match the candle size and catch any spills. These match the candles beautifully and can be used again and again.

Important: This is a molded and free standing candle and must be used with a suitable fireproof base that is capable of managing any wax melting. Please ensure candle is placed in a suitable and safe location with ample ventilation. Never leave your candle unattended while burning or alight while sleeping. Do not lift candle while burning or touch the hot melted wax.

Do not eat or swallow wax.

Dont burn for longer than 3 hours at a time.
